SPC-Flakes

SPC-Flakes is a food for special medical purposes with antisecretory effects for dietary treatment of diarrhea in connection with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as Ulcerative colitis and Mb Crohn, or symptoms of Mb Ménière (dizziness).

About

SPC-Flakes is a natural product and can be used as part of a normal diet. It stimulates the endogenous production of protein antisecretory factor (Protein-AF), which has an antisecretory effect and regulates fluid transport across cell membranes. SPC-Flakes can also be safely used by children as well as pregnant and breastfeeding women. SPC-Flakes should be used after consulting a physician or dietitian.

The development of SPC-Flakes is based on innovative Swedish research, originating from the discovery of Protein-AF. SPC-Flakes is a unique and patented product.

Ingredients

SPC-Flakes’ only ingredient is its specially processed oats. It’s produced through a patented hydrothermal process, for which no additives are added or needed. Enzymes are released and amino acids and monosaccharides are produced when starch is broken down.

Usage

The usual daily SPC-Flakes dosage is 1 gram per kg of body weight. This can be divided across 2-3 servings. 1 dl of SPC-Flakes is equal to approximately 50g.

SPC-Flakes is suitable for both adults and children over the age of one and can also safely be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women. It can be used when products which inhibit bowel movements should be avoided and it takes approximately two weeks of usage before the full effect of SPC-Flakes is realized.

SPC-Flakes can be consumed as it is, for example with yogurt or milk. It can also be cooked as porridge without losing its beneficial effects. SPC-Flakes can be mixed with other grains and used for baking bread or cookies.

Salovum can be used during the first days of introducing SPC-Flakes, making sure you can enjoy optimal and fast results from your Protein-AF treatment.

There has been no reported side effects or interactions with other foods or medications in connection with the consumption of SPC-Flakes. SPC-Flakes should never replace or change any current diet or medication. People with coeliac disease or a gluten intolerance should avoid SPC-Flakes.
